Winnie Flies Again World Book Day

Winnie Flies Again World Book Day

by KORKY PAUL (Illustrator), VALERIE THOMAS (Author)

Synopsis

Winnie the Witch loves travelling by broomstick. Sadly, when the sky starts filling up with all kinds of flying machines, Winnie and Wilbur have a few mid-air crashes and a few more near misses. Winnie waves her magic wand to turn her broomstick into a skateboard and even a bicycle. But the accidents still happen and poor Winnie ends up underground. Perhaps Winnie needs to look no further than the end of her nose for an answer to her problems?

Media Reviews
Paul's artwork is as dynamic and arresting as ever. His comic touch is perfectly judged, stretching the simple story within reach of a wide age group. Guardian The real delight of this eternally scatty pair (Winnie and Wilbur) lies in Korky Paul's scrawling, madcap illustrations. ABC Magazine pure magic The Times
