At the age of eight Diana knew she was going to be a writer, it was as though someone tapped her on the shoulder and told her so. She started writing books and reading them to her sisters. Then she moved on to study at Oxford, where she met her future husband who encouraged her to attend the lectures of both C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien.
