Women's Problems in General Practice: No.24 (Oxford General Practice S.)

Women's Problems in General Practice: No.24 (Oxford General Practice S.)

by Anne Anderson (Editor), Anne Anderson (Editor), Ann McPherson (Editor)

Synopsis

This volume provides both a critical review and practical coverage of women's health problems in primary care. The book covers the major areas of women's health, except for pregnancy, childbirth and puerperal problems, which are dealt with elsewhere in the "Oxford General Practice" series. All of the chapters have been updated or completely rewritten, and new authors have been selected on the basis of their expertize and their direct experience of primary care. There are new chapters on urinary incontinence and endometriosis, and an up-to-date discussion of the pros and cons of Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT). The chapters on screening programmes for cervical cancer and breast cancer have been extensively revised, as national screening programmes have been established since the last edition was published.
