Media Reviews
Julie Le Clerc's books are must-have items in my kitchen library and this mouth-watering compilation from her weekly newspaper column is no exception. As always her recipes are inspiring, stylish, delectable and uncomplicated. The emphasis here is on seasonal cooking using produce when it is at its most flavoursome peak and beautiful fruits and vegetables feature strongly. Honey chilli squid, Jennifer's tomato tart, lamb and olive pies and cream celeriac soup with truffle oil beg to be tried but the sweet-of-tooth may feel compelled to sample first the delights of caramel walnut tart, chocolate parsnip cake or lemon blueberry slice. -Sally Butters, New Zealand House & Garden
