The Great Sloth Race (Colour young Puffin)

The Great Sloth Race (Colour young Puffin)

by Dick King - Smith (Author), TimWarnes (Illustrator)

Synopsis

Dozy and Snoozy are tree sloths. Dozy is grumpy and Snoozy is gentle but they are both very very slow, the slowest in the whole of South America. One day, quite by chance, Dozy and Snoozy meet and Dozy challenges Snoozy to a race - so a great sloth race begins. Toucan acts as judge and the two sloths 'race' for hours. Soon all the spectators get bored and leave and only Toucan is left. Toucan declares the end of the race and Dozy boasts about winning, but, as wise old Toucan says, the object of a sloth race is to see who can go the slowest!
