Author Bio
Geoffrey Hill was born in Bromsgrove in 1932, where his father was a police-constable. He taught for many years at Leeds University and Cambridge, and is now a Professor of English in Boston. He is the author of six books of poetry (his Collected isin Penguin), two books of essays, and a translation of Ibsen's BRAND, which is in Penguin Classics.
