Export Law

Export Law

by WHITEHEAD (Author), Kadar (Author)

Synopsis

This text describes the framework of law within which international trade takes place. Although strongly biased towards English Law, as modified by European Community Law, it also deals with conflicts of law which may arise when customers and suppliers live in other countries subject to different legal regimes. In particular the text describes the use of International Conventions to agree procedures on documentation, legal liability, terminology, etc and then enact them into law in all countries so that the legal position is the same, avoiding conflicts of law. It is designed for students of the Advanced Certificate in Overseas Trade, students of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply, members of the Institute of Export, Institute of Freight Forwarders and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.
