Author Bio
Dr. Nabeel Ahmad is Assistant Professor & Head of the School of Biotechnology, IFTM University, Moradabad, India. His research areas are nanobiotechnology, nanosensor and bioprocess engineering. He has published several research papers in national and international peer reviewed journals, whilst also serving as an eminent member of several international journal editorial boards. Dr Ahmad is currently Editor of two books on nanobiotechnology published by Elsevier. Dr. P. Gopinath is Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee, India. He received his B.Sc. degree in Microbiology and M.Sc. degree in Biotechnology from Bharathidasan University, India. He earned his Ph.D. in Biotechnology from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, India and carried out his postdoctoral research at the University of Rochester Medical Center, New York, USA. Currently, his research group at the nanobiotechnology laboratory, IIT Roorkee is working on the development of polymer based nanocarriers for delivery of various anticancer agents including chemotherapeutic drugs, siRNA, genes etc. At present he has more than 81 research publications in the area of nanobiotechnology in high impact factor journals. He has been a reviewer & editorial board member for many international journals and received numerous prestigious awards for his scientific contributions in the area of biomedical nanotechnology Prof. Dr. Rajiv Dutta is Professor of Bioengineering at the Dr. KN Modi University, Newai, Banasthali, Rajasthan, India and QNS Chair Professor in Nanobiotechnology. He earned his M.Tech. in Biotechnology and Engineering from the Department of Chemical Engineering, IIT, Kharagpur and his Ph.D. from BITS, Pilani, India. He has been teaching Biochemical/ Bioprocess Engineering, Nanobiotechnology and Biophysics at Universities in India and abroad including an association with both Oklahoma State University and Purdue University in the USA. He has carried out advanced research in the area of Biochemical Engineering, Plant Tissue Culture, Ion channels electrophysiology, Membrane Nanopore and Nanobiotechnology. He is Fellow of the American Academy of Science & Technology (FAAST) and the International Academy of Sciences. He is an elected member of the National Academy of Sciences, India (NASI), the American Society for Research and holds the position of Scientific Advisor to Serra BioLife Ltd., Melbourne, Australia. He's received various awards including JCI Outstanding Ten Young Person of India and the ISBEM Dr. Ramesh Gulrajani Memorial Award 2006. He is an Editorial Advisory Board Member for the International Journal of Engineering and Editorial Board Member and Reviewer for several other journals. He has published numerous research articles in highly cited journals and holds several patents in India.
