Synopsis

London is under attack. People are dead. Many more lives hang in the balance as a group of highly trained gunmen storm the historic Stanhope Hotel on Park Lane. The gunmen have given the government just five hours to meet their demands before they blow up the building. Shots ring out. Some guests panic. Others text their loved ones. Still more try to escape. All are united by one thing: fear for their lives. All - except one man who has information so dangerous that it must be kept safe - at any price. Darkness falls. The gunmen become increasingly violent. One question is in everybody's minds. Will they survive the night?

Media Reviews
From the first line, Kernick knows how to get a thriller shifting, and he doesn't let up until the very last ... he puts a London hotel under siege, to brilliantly dramatic effect. * Daily Mirror *
A murder-a-minute gallop which successfully relies on sheer pace. * Daily Telegraph *
A gripping read with a rich cast of nicely crafted characters and a clever plot - or two - that comes together in a decidedly satisfactory ending. * The Times *
Excellent at police and intelligence detail ... expertly plotted ... fast, furious and professional * Daily Mail *
In Siege [Kernick] has upped his game considerably ... Nail-bitingly tense, Siege is genuinely unputdownable. * Irish Independent *
Author Bio
One of Britain's most exciting thriller writers, Simon Kernick exploded onto the scene with his acclaimed debut The Business of Dying. His big breakthrough came with Relentless which became the bestselling thriller of 2007. Simon's research is what makes his thrillers so authentic. He talks both on and off the record to members of Special Branch, the Anti-Terrorist Branch and the Serious and Organised Crime Agency, and hears first hand what actually happens in the dark and murky underbelly of UK crime.
