Synopsis

Dad hates pets; in fact he hates animals, full stop! So a family trip to the zoo is definitely not his idea of fun. When they arrive - disaster! Author Bio
Peter Dixon was a Senior Lecturer in Early Years Education for twenty years before becoming a full time writer, painter and performer in 1995. He has published several poetry collections for children including Grow Your Own Poems (Thomas Nelson); Lost Property Box, Grand Prix and most recently Penguin in Fridge (2001) (all Macmillan). He is a seasoned performer on the schools network and has performed at both the Edinburgh and Cheltenham Festivals. He lives in Winchester. Natalie Chivers graduated from the University of Plymouth in 2002 with a degree in Graphic Design Illustration. She lives in Farnham, Surrey and works as the PR and Advertising Manager for a company that specialises in magazines about wedding cakes, sugar craft and wedding dresses. This is her first picture book.
