Esther M. Friesner is the author of 27 novels, and her short fiction and poetry have appeared in Asimov's Science Fiction, Amazing Stories, and other magazines and anthologies. In 1995 and 1996, she won the Nebula Award for Best Short Story, and she is also a winner of the Romantic Times award for Best New Fantasy Writer (1996). She lives in Connecticut with her husband, two children two rambunctious cats, and a fluctuating population of hamsters.
