Lesley Pearse was born in Rochester, Kent, but has lived in the West Country for the last thirty-two years. She has three daughters and a grandson. She is the author of fifteen novels and now writes full-time. Like her heroine Georgia she spent some years in an orphanage, and she learned about the Soho club scene and the music business during the Sixties with the late John Pritchard.
