by Ragnhild Scamell (Author), Valeria Patrone (Illustrator)
Jake loves to draw. His class has grown sunflowers and written letters to Van Gogh, and now they are off to see his famous sunflower painting in the art gallery. Miss Greensleeve hands round the felt tip pens and asks her class to draw something in the vibrant style of Van Gogh. Everyone draws a sunflower, but Jake pretends his felt tips are Van Gogh's brushes and paints a vibrant red bird with thick paint. It almost looks alive! Suddenly, the bird is flitting round the gallery and pecking at the sunflowers in the painting. Miss Greensleeve is horrified and rushes off to find the gallery staff. But when she returns, the bird is nowhere to be seen. Jake has lured it back onto his page. Or has he?
