Sandra Ann Horn's first book for children, Tattybogle (Andersen Press 1995) was shortlisted for the Smarties Award, the Kurt Maschler Award and the Kate Greenaway Medal. Her other books for young readers include Dandelion Fair (DK 2000), The Storm Teller (Hodder 2000) and Rory McRory (Macdonald Young Books 1998). She has also written a number of books for adults and lectures in Psychology at Southampton University, where she lives. Mary McQuillan is a talented new illustrator, whose first book Who's Poorly Too? by Kes Gray has been well received in Europe and the US. Here she creates another set of unforgettable characters sure to delight children and adults everywhere. She is also the illustrator of Squeaky Clean by Simon Puttock (November 2001). She lives and works in Somerset.
