Synopsis

Children who enjoyed Pass the Jam, Jim, You Can Swim, Jim and Need a Trim, Jim when they were younger will be delighted to see that Jim and all his friends are back in three new stories for older readers. In Jim at the Fair, Jim wins a goldfish, but on the way home the bag splits and it looks like it could be curtains for Norman. Luckily Jim is in his firefighters outfit - his helmet saves the day as a temporary bowl. In Madame Zuleka, Jim visits a fortune teller, who predicts he is about to embark on a thrilling adventure...and funnily enough she is right! In Jim in the Snow, Jim and friends have lots of fun making snowpeople and having snowball fights, but later at home, Jim is devastated to discover he has lost his special firefighter watch. Will he ever find it in a snow white world?

Author Bio
Kaye Umansky was born in Plymouth, Devon, in 1946. She had no brothers or sisters and spent a lot of time writing stories to amuse herself (they were the last in their road to get a television!). When she left school, she went to London to become a teacher. She enjoyed teaching music, drama and creative writing, but was worse than the children at maths! She formed a soul band with her husband (Mo), and played cheerfully but badly in a variety of London pubs. They never became rich and famous, but they had a lot of fun! Kaye started writing children's books just before she had her daughter, Ella. Kaye currently lives in North London with Mo, Ella and their three cats called Charlie, Alfie and Tilly.
