Synopsis

Lawyer James Raison is sent to Munich to represent one of the claimants in a case of reparation involving the Swiss account of a rich Jewish banker called Bamberger who disappeared when the Germans overran Europe. The other claimant, Grunwald, an aged concentration camp victim has returned for the first time to the country where he suffered harrowing humiliations.
