It gives valuable information on how to go about building with either builders or subcontractors and illustrates this advice through real-life stories that highlight the experiences of self-builders. Packed with over 100 colour and black & white photographs, designs and plans, Building Your Own Home contains everything a self-builder needs to know and is the ideal companion to The Home Plans Book by the same author.

Author Bio
David Snell has been in the property and building industry for four decades. He first built his own home in 1971 and then met and worked with Murray Armor, the acknowledged expert within the self-build industry for over thirty years. Following Murray's death in 1998, David took over this mantle and has become well-known for his many articles on self-building and for his appearances on the seminar platforms at self-build shows, courses and exhibitions. He is contributing editor to Homebuilding & Renovating Magazine and is The Daily Telegraph's expert on their Saturday property clinic, Bricks & Mortar.
