Sisters Unlimited

by JessicaHowie (Author)

Synopsis

Girls are growing up faster and earlier. Young teenagers now live in a world of amazing opportunities but also some harsh realities. They are making tough choices and decisions, from sex and relationships to drugs and alcohol, to education and peer pressure. Girls look at themselves in the mirror every day and worry about their breasts, how pretty they are, what kind of person they are inside. And every day they move a step closer to becoming a woman - a journey that is exciting, but which can also be uncertain and lonely at times. The aim of Sisters Unlimited is to guide girls through many life issues, taking in family, body image, sexuality and school. Jessica Howie is the big sister with the straightforward answers. There are no taboos and Jessica's approach is refreshingly open and honest. She also draws on the words and experiences of other 'big sisters', including Davina McCall, Dido and Anita Roddick. This is an empowering book - providing support without judgment for girls as they journey through their own modern rites of passage.

Author Bio
Jessica Howie now works with foster children and is setting up the teenage girl website www.sistersunlimited.com. By her own admission she went through some pretty riotous, maladjusted teenage years, but is now an impassioned woman to whom girls will immediately relate. She is also Lynne Franks' daughter.
