The love of his life was Mexican film star Movita, who later married Marlon Brando. Doyle became the darling of the ring, and of the gossip columns, attracting 250,000 people to his last fight in London, in July 1939. It was the peak of his career, and the beginning of the end. Doyle won and lost a fortune, and died in 1978.
