Author Bio

Shigeru Eguchi is a lecturer of Japanese language at the Department of East Asian Languages and Cultures at Columbia University. He is also a coordinator of the summer language and culture program at Hokkaido International Foundation (H.I.F.), Hokkaido, Japan.

Orie Yamada is originally from Japan, where she taught Japanese language for students from all over the world at the ECC language school in Nagoya until 1995. She is a lecturer of Japanese language at Columbia University.
