An introductory chapter charts the recent resurgence of the ideological controversy and assesses the significance of the collapse of Soviet bloc communism and of end of ideology theses. Each subsequent chapter explores the origins and historical background of each ideology, and looks at it in its British and international contexts. Political Ideologies makes the character of each ideology and the interrelationships clear, avoiding complexity and jargon.
