Stanley Newman is a US-based puzzle creator and editor. He was winner of the first US Open Crossword Championship in 1982, and has written and edited over 80 books. He is currently crossword editor for Newsday, and his puzzles are syndicated to over 100 newspapers worldwide. He lives in New York. David Stark is a prolific crossword compiler and the editor of several reference books. He lives in upstate New York.
