Journey Into Power: Sculpt Your Ideal Body, Free Your True Spirit and Transform Your Entire Life

by Baron Baptiste (Author)

Synopsis

Baron Baptiste presents a mix of yoga, popular psychology and diet that has been successful in the US. This inspiring power yoga and personal development book is energetic, aerobically challenging, body-sculpting and spiritually reviving. The philosophy behind the technique is simple: within each of us already lies our ideal body and best self - our goal is to reveal that self by chiselling away at all the junk - the extra pounds, the emotional baggage, the fear and mental clutter that comes between us and the brilliant, authentic person we are inside. The book teaches us how to: pay attention to the newness of every moment - live in the now ; accept that we must experience some pain if we are to grow; understand that pushing beyond your comfort zone is what causes you to break through to your best self; and learn to exercise your letting go muscle - the hardest one to locate, but the one most essential to develop for inner peace. Finally, the book shows that a breakthrough is really a breaking with. Every new pose your body accepts is breaking with former resistance; every new mental, emotional or spiritual epiphany represents a departure from the block that held you back. The text is illustrated to help you follow Baptiste's 50 Power Vinyasa Yoga asanas (poses), and also contains a cleansing diet and meditation advice.
