Michael Owen was born in Chester, England in 1979. The youngest-ever player to have made his England debut this century, he has scored a more than 50 goals in less than three full seasons for Liverpool. He graduated through the Lilleshall school of excellence and has played for England at Youth, Under-18 and Under -21 levels. Dave Harrison is a Midlands-based soccer writer for the News of the World who also covers tennis and athletics.
