by Danny Smith (Author)

Synopsis

The dramatic true story of Raoul Wallenberg, a Swedish aristocrat who went to Budapest during World War II on a special mission to save as many Jews as possible from the Holocaust. Using Sweden's neutrality and the diplomatic authority of the embassy, Wallenberg worked tirelessly to issue fake passes to Jews in order to rescue them from deportation and death. He also persuaded other neutral embassies to act in like manner. Through his utter commitment and ingenuity, thousands of Jews were saved from certain death. His almost magical commanding presence made him a legendary figure at the time. The mystery of his disappearance in the final stages of the war makes the story all the more intriguing and tragic.
