by KenBrown (Author)

Synopsis

This loveable Mucky Pup is back again and this time it is Christmas. But what is this Christmas thing. It seems to get Mucky Pup into lots of trouble and not be any fun at all. It's Christmas Eve and when Mucky Pup knocks over the Christmas tree, samples the cake and chews up the post he is told that he has spoilt Christmas and he is sent out of the house. Mucky Pup goes out to the farm to ask the animals if they know what this Christmas thing is, but nobody does. He sleeps the nights with the farm animals. The next day snow has fallen and Mucky Pup and Pig skate on the ice, snowball and sledge. In his excitement, Mucky Pup rolls down a slope and crashes into the children's snowman. They are so pleased to see him again and he is quickly forgiven; he joins the family again in the house and finds out what Christmas is all about.

Media Reviews
Ken Brown's Mucky Pup learns the true meaning of Christmas: it is 'parcels and paper and his very own present'. This is the story of a fun-loving farm dog and his characterful animal friends. Brown draws expertly, but, better still, he makes everyone smile. The Sunday Times ... bound to appeal to anyone who has a soft spot for the foibles and cheekiness of pets. Nursery World
