by Billy Fitzgerald (Author)
This is the biography of Cahal Brendan Daly, born in the Glens of Antrim in 1917, who grew up to become the Roman Catholic Primate of All Ireland in 1991. This book follows Cardinal Daly's life in post-liberation Paris, his attendance at the first session of the Second Vatican Council, and his involvement with the Pope's visit to Ireland in 1979. As Bishop of Down and Connor, centred in Belfast, he fell foul of Sinn Feinn and the IRA and even now continues to speak out against these organizations. Billy FitzGerald is the author of "Father Tom, a Biography of Cardinal Tomas O Fiaich".
