  This student Book aims to motivate students with a wealth of imaginative activities to help them study the French language. Grammar is explained in context and practised in special pages jaunes sections. Auto level 1 is set in Orleans and students are introduced to the young people of the Conseil Municipal des Jeunes. At this level French is gradually and systematically brought into lessons and by the end of Auto 1, there is no English in the Students' Book. This level is ideal for year 7 beginners as Auto 1 covers levels 1-4 of the National Curriculum across all four attainment targets.
