Patricia Cornwell


Patricia Cornwell is an American crime author, selling over 100 million copies of her books in 36 languages in over 120 countries. Cornwell is best known for her Scarpetta book series which follows medical examiner Dr. Kay Scarpetta and her tech-savvy niece Lucy. Cornwell’s first book, Postmortem, was published in 1990 and went on to win 5 major crime awards, which is the only book to ever do so. The series is also said to be the inspiration for CSI and Cold Case Files. Cornwell has also authored a book on the real identity of Jack the Ripper, a couple of cookbooks, a children’s book as well as two other book series.
