J. R. R. Tolkien

J. R. R. Tolkien is best known for writing The Lord of The Rings and The Hobbit. Tolkien was born in 1892 in South Africa, and later moved to England when he was just 3 years old. His mother home schooled Tolkien and he was able to read by the age of four and could write fluently soon after. He enjoyed reading from a young age, and enjoyed making up fantasy stories. The Hobbit was first published in 1937 and first 2 novels in The Lord of The Rings trilogy was released in 1954. The last book, The Return of The King, was released a year later.
