Author Bio
Richard Holmes is professor of military and security Studies at Cranfield University and the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. He has written numerous successful books on military history, including this book's best-selling companion, The Second World War in Photographs, the Imperial War Museum's The D-Day Experience, and War Walks which accompanied the BBC television series of the same name.
