ROBERT ADAMS is Professor of Human Services Development at the University of Lincolnshire and Humberside, Hull, and Visiting Professor to the School of Health, University of Teesside. He has worked in social work and criminal justice settings and has a number of books to his name, including Social Work: Themes, Issues and Critical Debates and Critical Practice in Social Work (both co-edited with Lena Dominelli and Malcolm Payne) and Quality Social Work.
