by Mike Lowery (Author)

Synopsis

In this second book in the Doodle Adventures series, the reader is once again recruited to aid the world (and time and space) exploring duck, Carl. So grab a pencil and arm yourself with imagination! Carl needs your help on a super special mission: To go to the grocery store and get him a frozen pizza (okay, maybe it's not such a special job). For some reason, all of the pizza places in town are out of pizza. Headquarters calls and tells him that someone has been going around town stealing all the pizzas - including the frozen ones! And all the pizz ingredients and toppings. Gasp! Carl is hungry and very grumpy. Draw yourself into the story and follow the doodle prompts to assist Carl in his mission.

Book Overview: A middle grade book where you draw the story! The second book in the DOODLE ADVENTURE series, Doodle Adventures: The Pursuit of the Pesky Pizza Pirate! Is another visual Mad Libs, where readers draw and doodle the details of the tale - this time a swashbuckling pirate tale! The result? A one of a kind book staring themselves that's as much fun to make (with doodles on every page) as it is to read again and again once it's finished.

Media Reviews
Lowery's illustrations are adorable, a simple enough line style the kids don't feel their additions are inferior in any way but simultaneously clean professional, and fun. ...I would highly recommend enjoying these books as a family just for the collective giggle factor. -- GeekDad.com
