by JohnSmolens (Author)

Synopsis

Set in one three day blizzard in the remote woods of the deepest Mid-West, COLD tells the story of an escaped prisoner (who may or may not have committed the crimes that he was locked up for), a lonely widow who rescues him, half-dead, from the storm, an enigimatic Sheriff and a not-so-innocent ex-wife. As the temperature drops and the snow buries the land, these characters act-out a macabre play which will leave few standing at its end.

Media Reviews
1 'COLD is a finely crafted, wild yarn set in the great north. John Smolens gives us a suspenseful tale in a style somewhere between Jack London and Raymond Chandler. A fine read' Jim Harrison, author of Legends of the Fall.
