The Art of Jack Russell: Caught on Canvas

by Jack Russell (Author)

Synopsis

Jack's painting career started one day in l987 when rain stopped play and he began sketching to help pass the time. Jack has never looked back since. His paintings, sketches and limited edition prints are now much sought after and collected worldwide and he has paintings hanging in places as diverse as the Imperial War Museum, the Tower of London, and the Sir Don Bradman Museum in Australia. Jack opened his own gallery in Gloucestershire in l994 and this has been an enviable success. Jack's chosen painting subjects are diverse and range from cricket scenes around the world, evocative English landscapes and seascapes, to superb pencil sketches of people, wildlife and places he has visited. Jack's other keen interest is military history and he enjoys creating impressive and detailed paintings to commemorate famous battles. This text will also feature some of Jack Russell's paintings of his beloved Slad Valley, better known as "Laurie Lee Country".
